The Co-managing User tab

The Co-managing User tab appears on the accessory tabs of the Contact page of contacts that have been assigned a co-managing user license. On this tab, you can manage co-managed user settings and associations with co-managed organizations and co-managing teams.

NOTE  This tab is not visible to co-managing users.

To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.

The button bar contains the following options:

Edit

Click this button to put the tab into Edit mode. You can do the following:

  • Select a different Security Level. All co-managed security levels are available. HR permissions are required.
  • Activate or deactivate the co-managing user account. Deactivated co-managing users can no longer log into Autotask, but all other fields on the tab retain their settings. If the user is assigned as the account manager for an organization, the co-managing user account cannot be deactivated.
    Select or clear the Active check box.
  • Manage the co-managing user's association with co-managed organizations. You can add up to 500 co-managed organizations. The co-managing user will be on the account team of all selected organizations, and will have the same permissions as the account manager.
  • Assign the user to one or more Co-managing Teams. You can add up to 100 co-managing teams.

Manage Resource Settings

Click this button to open the Edit Co-managing User page. This page provides access to all the settings that were configured for the co-managed user license, not just the ones shown on the tab. Refer to Adding or editing a co-managing user.
