Transferring a picked item to another location
SECURITY Access to the parent entity and feature access to transfer inventory items
NAVIGATION Open a contract, project, or ticket and click the Charges, or Charges & Expenses tab. Scroll to the Items Already Picked, Received, or On Order table.
The Transfer link on the Items Already Picked, Received, or On Order table lets you keep track of picked items that

need to be moved to another location
-
need to go onto a delivery van or into a technician's trunk

are transferred directly to a customer. This last is the equivalent of delivering and shipping, and can be used if you don't need to track any shipping info.
NOTE The charge must be saved and the item must be picked before it can be transferred.
To transfer an item, do the following:
- To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
- Click Transfer.
- Complete the fields on the Transfer Item(s) window.
Field | Description |

Transfer from | This read-only field shows the current inventory location. |
Quantity to Transfer | Defaults to the quantity picked, but can be modified. |
Serial Number(s) | Appears only for items based on a serialized product. Displays the serial number of all stocked items picked from this inventory location for this charge. If you change the quantity to transfer to a number smaller than the quantity of items picked, you must adjust the number of serial numbers to equal the number of items being transferred. Double-click extra serial numbers to remove them from the list. |
