Product notes

Product notes are used to add information specific to the product. For example, if a technician encounters a common manufacturer defect with a specific device, they may want to add a note or start a discussion that applies to all devices associated with that product.

To add or edit a product note, do the following:

  1. To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
  2. On the Notes tab of the Edit Product page, click New Note, or click the Edit icon of an existing note.

    On the Activity tab of the Device page, click New Product Note.

    The New Product Note or Edit Product Note window will open.
  3. Add or edit the Title and Description.
  4. Click Save.

NOTE  A product note may only be created by a resource, an API user, or an integration, not the system Autotask Administrator.
