Mapping resources to a different web connector

By default, all Autotask resources are automatically mapped to the first web connector you have set up in Autotask (the default connector), and their timesheets and expense reports are transferred to a single QuickBooks file. No action is required.

You only need to map your resources if you want to transfer timesheet and expense data to a non-default web connector.

EXAMPLE  You have a co-managing user whose timesheet you want to transfer to a different QuickBooks file.

If you have configured multiple web connectors and an employee or contractor must be associated with a different web connector, you map that resource on the Resource / Web Connector Mapping page.

  1. To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
  2. Click Map Another Resource. A dialog box will open.
  3. Select the Autotask Resource to map to a non-default web connector.
  4. Select the QuickBooks Web Connector to map the resource to.
  5. Click Save.

NOTE  If you need to transfer resource data to 2 separate QuickBooks files, you must create a second Autotask user account for that resource and map it to a different web connector.
